Baker Tilly Sierra Leone, an Audit Consulting Firm, on Friday 9th August 2024 commenced a six (6) day of physical verification of the Post Ebola Recovery Social Investment Fund (PERSIF) Project sites.
The Project Coordination Unit (PCU) led the auditors to the project operational sites in Kailahun, Kenema, Port Loko, and Western Area Rural districts to verify physical progress on construction and conformity with project designs for WASH facilities, Community Health Posts, and Nurses’ quarters.
The objective of the auditing exercise was to obtain a reasonable assurance that the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement by enabling the auditors to express an independent professional opinion on the financial position of the Project to be assured that the Project funds have been used for their intended purposes and in accordance with the provisions of the Grant Agreement.
