The African Development Bank (AfDB) has successfully completed its 2025 second-quarter annual supervision mission for the Post Ebola Recovery Social Investment Fund (PERSIF) Project. This initiative focuses on strengthening the resilience of communities previously affected by the Ebola outbreak through infrastructure development, financial support, and social empowerment.

The supervision mission, which took place from June 10 to June 18, 2025, brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the AfDB, the Project Coordination Unit, the Project Fiduciary Management Unit, the Supervising Engineering Firm, local government officials, and the Ministry of Social Welfare. A team of videographers also accompanied the delegation to document the project’s impact.
During the mission, the team assessed the progress of construction work on Community Health Posts and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) facilities, engaged with contractors, and gathered firsthand testimonies from beneficiaries of grants and loans—including women, persons with disabilities, and men from the targeted communities. Additionally, local authorities shared insights on the project’s influence on community development.

The mission team visited all project sites within the beneficiary communities, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of ongoing activities. The documentary being developed will highlight the milestones achieved and showcase the personal stories of those directly impacted by the project’s interventions.
